About this deal

But there’s one ingredient they haven’t considered: the chemistry between them is red hot, and the urge to take things to the next level is more tempting than Layla’s double fudge mocha brownies. There's a special kind of magic on nights like this, a certain sort of nostalgia when the past intermingles with the present and flirts with the future." This was such an enjoyable and terrific book. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrators. I thought they did a great job. We all know where this is headed! Again, it's about the journey and this was a sweet one! Layla and Caleb are both great characters. They are likeable and I was rooting for them the entire time!

Caleb has struggled in the dating game by wearing his heart on his sleeve and apparently falling too fast, but lets be real...if you've read the first two books we've a better idea than he does at the start as to why else this might be 😉 - bless his fam for their "good intentions" chats. Honestly the families in this series are such adorkable busy bodies and were it not for the meddlesome town of awesome characters they'd prob shine more tbh 🤭when he sees her at a bar after she just had a disastrous first date, he proposes to her to do a sort of "dating experiment". both of them have awful dating experience, so they think it's them and not the other people. maybe they should... see for each other if that's true, if they're doing something wrong. so now they're giving this a month, rating their cute dates, and spending so much time together to see if this experiment can come up with great results. instead they obviously fall in love lmao!

Sweet and sexy. Everything you’d ever need in a romance. I’ll buy everything B.K Borison writes' - Hannah Grace, author of Icebreaker At the start of the book Layla runs into Caleb and she finally, FINALLY, notices him and is flabbergasted at how suddenly attractive he was. It wasn't sudden because Caleb was perfect, he was giving, kind, fun, funny, attractive, just the whole shebang but he wasn't always noticed or appreciated and it hurt my heart for him. Layla is also amazing with her sense of humor, caring nature, and optimism, but she has a lot of internal self-doubts. Her family doesn't support her decision to be a baker and she questions her own judgement, because look at the tools she's dated. They both wanted to find love though and that right person. Their dates are sometimes hilarious, sometimes sexual tension-filled, and overall wonderful. They had chemistry in spades. It's a slow burn but absolutely has some excellent steamy times.I also related to Layla. I felt it was so special, being able to see a bit of yourself in both MCs. Although I didn’t love her as much as I loved Caleb, although she was the one who needed the support and made the final problem a bit more dramatic than I’d like to, I understood why she was so afraid of being with Caleb. I would also be afraid of falling in love with someone as precious as him. The celebration of Christmas and the memories associated with it makes us more excited, and everything we do and see becomes more exciting, including the sunset. Luka and Stella filled my heart with so much empathy and joy! There’s yearning and sexual tension leading up to them finally getting together. Seriously, the YEARNING is some of the best I’ve read recently. There’s clear trust and connection between them, which made the steamy scenes and romance even more enjoyable.

Facts: Stella has had a long-time crush on Luka, but she never came clean about her feelings to not jeopardize their long-time friendship. When Luka comes up with a plan that involves fake dating, she realizes it will be more challenging to restrain her feelings for him. We all know the story of best friends who fake being a couple, right? The question is does it work for Lovelight Farms? I step down to where she's gazing out at the fields with her hand shielding her eyes against the setting sun. I asked her to meet me at this time for a reason. There's nothing like the farm just as the sun begins to dip in the sky, bright blue fading to deep cobalt, pink just starting to bloom from behind the clouds. I stand next to her and try to see it the way she does as a first-time visitor; the endless rows of full, green trees. The lights that string throughout, just starting to blink awake in the early evening."

There must be something in the water at Inglewild because damn these men are fine. Caleb just came in and stole my heart instantly. He’s so understanding and respectful towards Layla, I need a man like Caleb in my life. And my oh my, the spice in this book is my favourite out of the books so far!

I finally get it now! Thank you, to all of you that reviewed and shelved this book, swaying me to read it! 🫶 I needed to take a break from the books I am currently reading, and this was such a beautiful surprise. Fake it till you make it" compounds feelings of imposter syndrome when people start doubting their own skills. But there’s one thing they haven’t considered. The chemistry between them is red hot. Will Caleb be the secret ingredient that Layla has been missing? Maybe the reason why you haven’t figured out how to fit your pieces with someone else is because you haven’t found the right puzzle.”

I’m grateful. I send up a wish to the ghosts of holiday past, present, and future. I just need this little bit of magic to continue through the end of the month. This was kinda similar in premise to Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating. Layla and Caleb don't have the best dating history (individually), so they decide to try date each other and then to grade the other person on what areas they could improve to be a better partner. I jump in with two feet when there’s even a hint of something, pouring all of myself into everything. And then I second guess. I overthink. I
