More chick-lit than I usually read, I adored the sharply observed characters and the whimsy in this. Back then, we spent manys the hungover Sunday talking absolute nonsense while eating corn snacks under blankets. She's such a character, endearing and funny, the authors really bring her to life in the pages and you can't help but instantly love her.

She is bought to life here by the authors, a novel that has its origins in a Facebook page that documented and captured the varied traits attributed to an Aisling.

Sie drängt John ja geradezu ihr einen Heiratsantrag zu machen, anstatt ihm zu verdeutlichen, dass sie eigentlich mit ihm zusammenziehen will. I loved the way she embraced her new friends and their lifestyle, even when she was deeply uncomfortable with it, as at a techno disco on a Berlin city break. I love to know what's behind the beginning of a book and how it became an idea then into the final making and selling of the book. For anyone who hasn't been inducted into the wonderful world of OMGWACA (I am eternally grateful to my sister for bringing me into the fold), it's an Irish Facebook group with over (checks Facebook) 42 thousand members.

There’s nothing Daddy loves more than bringing up the “legendary” (his words) rivalry between Ballygobbard, where we’re from, and Knocknamanagh, our nearest town, six miles away via winding back roads. She also appears to be the annoying office busybody who leaves passive-aggressive notes for their co-workers about the fridge and the dishwasher.No one outside of Ireland would comprehend beyond the first page but that only served to remind me how lucky we are to live in this unique country with people like Aislings!

Die Charaktere mochte ich aber alle miteinander, deswegen werde ich auf jeden Fall auch die Fortsetzung lesen! Only six hours ago, he was singing Mr Brightside with his eyes closed in the residents' bar and looking back now I'm fairly certain he was crying.A brilliant read for those times you need something light and frothy, with great characters, and comic fun.
