With rich sound for both games and music, a novel design and lots of ways to customize your experience, the G560 is a worthwhile investment for gamers who prefer wide-open sound to the confines of a headset. As such, I ran it through a rigorous round of testing with games ranging from competitive first-person shooters to story-driven single-player RPGs. We're not talking about the aforementioned screen sampling; LIGHTSYNC-compatible games cause the RGB lighting of your keyboard, mouse, headset, and now speakers to react to unique situations in games. Modern connectivity features such as Bluetooth are also incorporated which will free you up one more wire if you opt not to use the standard 3.

Its construction consists of a wood frame supported by four posts to give it some proper height to make room for the subwoofer. This seems to be an issue with the software and Logitech have said they’re working on sorting it, but the speakers have been out for a few months now and no fix seems to be coming.The front zone wraps around a cutout next to the speaker, while the rear is a larger and brighter light meant to diffuse across the wall behind your desk. You can go into Logitech’s software and drop every single EQ setting by about 20 decibels, giving you more headroom to adjust volume. The screen sampler RGB option is arguably the most interesting of the bunch, but it unfortunately didn't work as well as we initially hoped. Overall, I was unhappy with the initial volume issues, but once those were resolved, I came to seriously enjoy the G560. They also say that it's easy to connect bluetooth devices and headphones when necessary, and that the speakers are powerful and well-balanced.

If you share a wall with your parents, your children, your roommate or even just your neighbors, operating your speakers late at night or early in the morning could quickly turn into a fraught situation.With quick setup and software that remembers your settings, you can get immersed in your sound—and the game. In short, the screen sampler effect, while it does add a bit of ambiance to your experience, likely won't "wow" you the way that a dedicated bias lighting setup would. We're not set up to perform audiophile sound analysis, but then of course these are by no means audiophile-grade speakers.

While the surface area is quite large, overall the brightness is pretty minimal and the lens does a good job diffusing the light to cast it in all rearward directions.

While the G560 can handle any sound you throw at it, from any source, its primary purpose is as a PC gaming accessory.
